Aperitif

Glossary of Terms

An aperitif is an alcoholic drink which is served before a meal and is designed to stimulate the appetite. It is usually a small drink of liqueur, fortified wine or dry champagne. Common aperitif drinks are vermouth, champagne, fino and sherry.
