Cointreau
Glossary of Terms
Cointreau is produced by Remy Cointreau in France and is a brand of triple sec. It has an orange flavour produced from a blend of sweet and bitter oranges, and pure alcohol from sugar beets, but the production of Cointreau is a family secret. Cointreau can be drunk as an aperitif or digestif and is also used as an ingredient in cocktails, including margaritas, cosmopolitans and daiquiris.
